On the other side of the school, the zombies have formed what looks like a protective circle around Whitney, who seems ... remarkably calm. She's glassy-eyed, as though she's not really there. Artemis Crock is partway down the hall, having toppled some lockers as a barricade, from which she's firing crossbow arrows.
